CLIENT PROFILE

WestCare Health System is a non-profit health care provider that delivers a full spectrum of health care services for over 80,000 people. Nestled in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, WestCare is comprised of two hospitals, Harris Regional Hospital , an 86-bed acute care facility located in Sylva, NC and Swain County Hospital , a 48-bed facility located in Bryson City. WestCare employs almost 1200 full and part time employees and has a medical staff of over 90 physicians representing 22 specialties.

PROBLEM

WestCare came to Bclip for help in creating an interactive Physician and General recruitment campaign that would readily capture the culture of their healthcare system, long-term program benefits and varied employment opportunities. An additional goal of the campaign was to highlight the beauty and recreational lifestyle enjoyed by residents of Western North Carolina area; a major draw for prospective employees.

SOLUTION

Bclip delivered multiple videos containing interviews with current employees, information on current technologies, culture, benefits, and area lifestyle. Delivery on the project consisted of two interactive recruitment CD-ROMs – one for physician recruitment and one for general recruitment. Both CDs supplement their current recruitment mailings by containing multiple links to their website, relocation resources and information and application documents. Bclip also delivered their videos on DVD for presentations and job fairs, as well as web streaming video to create “stickiness” on their website. The end result is a valued Human Resource tool tied heavily into the current recruitment campaign that brings their message to life.
