Just found out the video was directly responsible for getting us a 30,000 grant to do our environmental work. Just thought the folks at Bclip, especially Mike who I know did some volunteer overtime on it, would like to know that there video continues to do good work out there in the world, and has received many kudos.
Bclip has won a second Telly award! While all of us here in the office were still in high spirits about our first ever Silver Telly, we quickly found out that we had won another. The Bronze Telly Award, for a project we had done for a very special group of folks called ReCreation Experiences.
ReCreation is a non-profit, faith-based ministry that helps low income, fixed income, handicapped and elderly people in Western North Carolina with home rehabilitation. This in turn, provides for the rehabilitating of neighborhoods, communities and most importantly, the lives of the residents and their neighbors. The main goal is simple, but profound: To touch lives through hammers, paint and hard work.
Bclip was asked to create a recruitment CD-ROM with an overview video of the program as well as testimonial videos from clients and participants in order to reach out to groups who otherwise wouldn’t know the program exists.
Bclip documented the rehabilitation of one of ReCreation’s client’s homes and quickly realized how powerful the program was in terms of not only assisting the home owner, but what the groups of young people gained from the experience. It was an influential, heartwarming and all around feel-good project to work on and we are proud to have been a part of it!
