Our own Brad Hebert designed the sound on the feature independent film, "Wanderlost" last winter. It is currently being seen in film festivals across the country. Here is Brad's story from his latest adventure with the movie…

Premiering my first feature film sound design work at the Famous Monsters Convention was an honor and treat for many reasons. Seeing other brand new films screened alongside Wanderlost was a great chance to get a perspective on how my work compares to similar modern independent films. Then I was able to talk to the other filmmakers, discussing our challenges, techniques and gear choices. Beyond that standard film festival experience, this was a convention with so much more. There were two rooms full of actors from famous monster movies like Ghostbusters, Night of the Living Dead and Nightmare on Elm Street. The halls were lined with booths of amazing artists. A large vendor room held many tables of unique goods and memorabilia related to horror films, while a club hosted events like costume and beauty contests. Some fans wore elaborate costumes and it was so much fun to walk around beside a 9-foot tall skeleton or the Predator. That was the first time I've been immersed in a film genre for an entire weekend, but it won't be the last!
